Gloria J. Guthals age 89 of rural Union NE passed away on Monday March 30 2026 at Bryan East Medical Center in Lincoln NE. Gloria Jean Dickman Guthals was born on February 5 1937 at the family home in rural Nehawka NE the daughter of Henry Julius and Erma Agnes Eaton Dickman. Gloria attended country school and then Union High School where she graduated with the Class of 1954. After high school she attended Lincoln School of Commerce. On February 20 1955 she was united in marriage to Harry Keith Guthals in Union NE and to this union two children were born Marcia and Steve. Keith preceded her in death on June 13 2007. She worked as a telephone operator in Nebraska City for a short time and then helped her husband on the farm in addition to raising her children.
