Mary Jo Nemecek 78 Blue Hill Nebraska passed away on Saturday August 8 2026 at CHI Health St. Francis Hospital Grand Island Nebraska. Memorial Eucharist will be on Monday August 24 2026 1100 a.m. at Saint Marks Episcopal Church Hastings Nebraska with the Very Rev. Katie Hargis officiating. There will be no viewing or visitation as her wishes were to be cremated. Private Inurnment will be in Saint Marks Episcopal Church Columbarium. In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to Saint Marks Altar Guild or Start Over Rover Animal Shelter. The service will be live streamed on MertenButler Mortuarys website.
