On August 10 2026 Charles T. Rayford affectionately known by many names but loved by all who knew him passed peacefully at home at the age of 85. To his coworkers he was Rayford to his fishing buddies Chuck and to family and friends CharlieRay. His grandchildren would argue that PawPaw was the best name he ever had while to Dora the woman who shared more than five decades of his life he was simply Honey. Fittingly his final moments were spent in his chair a familiar place of comfort in the home he shared with his family. Alberta was born on April 23 1942 in Las Vegas Nevada to Charles Curly Porter Hale Jr and Ruth Cluff. Her family lived at her Grandpa Hales home on the dry lake bed between Nevada and California. This was on the road to Nipton CA. They moved back to Las Vegas to go to kindergarten at Fifth Street Grammar School. She attended 5th through 8th grade at the new West Charleston Grammar School now Howard Wasden. She remembered the names of most of her grammar school teachers and the principal throughout her life. Fernando was born in Puerto Rico but moved to New York at a young age where he spent most of his adolescent years. As a young man he uprooted his life and relocated to the West Coast eventually making Las Vegas Nevada his permanent home. He proudly spent most of his career in management in the textile industry. After many years in the textile business Fernando eventually retired. Fernando was very proud of his Puerto Rican heritage and shared that love with his family. Kathleen "Katie" Barbian passed away August 6th 2026 at the age of 89. Born October 11 1936 in Bayard Nebraska Katie moved to Las Vegas as a young woman and lived here for many years. She served at the United States Postal Service for over four decades 1966 through 2010. She was an avid supporter of the local community. She donated often to many local charities. She was a frequent visitor to Bonnie Springs Lake Mead and Mt. Charleston. She adopted fostered and supported animals from the streets local rescues and shelters. For many years she attended Shadow Hills Baptist Church and she represented the best of her faith by embracing everyone with warmth acceptance and love.
