Patricia Brenda Rubacka passed away peacefully on Friday February 13 2026 at Mayo Healthcare in Northfield Vermont. She was just shy of her 92nd birthday. Pat was born on March 15 1934 in Guildford Surrey England to her parents James and Louisa Parker. She attended school in Guildford and at the age of 17 boarded the Queen Mary on a journey to America arriving at Ellis Island. While working at the Hartness House in Springfield Vermont she met and was smitten with a young cook Richard who was working there during his senior year of high school. After a brief engagement Pat and Richard were married on May 23 1953 at St. Marys Catholic Church in Springfield. Pat became a naturalized citizen of the United States of America on July 15 1957. Ronald Hagar age 75 died on February 9 2026 at the Jack Byrne Center surrounded by family. He was born on March 4 1950 and was the eldest of five children born to Justin and Geraldine Hagar of Weymouth Massachusetts. He was preceded in life by his parents and is survived by his siblings Kenneth Hagar and his wife Jeanne Doug Hagar and his wife Linda Susan Dresser and her husband Jim Janice Longendorfer and her husband David and several nieces and nephews. Ron moved to the Upper Valley in 1971 when he met his first wife Diane Clough Hagar. They were married that same year. He and Diane went on to have two children Sandee and Belinda. Ron is survived by his girls Sandee Shipley and Belinda Peavey Ty Peavey. Lebanon NH John D. Eastman passed away on February 8 2026 after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born on December 8 1953 to Harold John Eastman and Arlene Blanche Dow Eastman of Quechee Vermont. John grew up with his five siblings on his familys Quechee Fells Farm where he learned the value of hard work compassion and helping others. He often shared fond memories of his childhood and developed a lifelong love of people animals and the land. After graduating from Hartford High School in 1971 John earned an Associate Degree in Applied Science from Vermont Technical College a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Vermont and later a second Bachelors Degree in Microbiology from the University of New Hampshire.
