Bertha was born in Nashua New Hampshire on August 5 1930 and was the daughter of the late Roland Maynard and Lea LaPierre Ouellette. She received her education in the Nashua School System. In her early years her worked as a waitress as well as a cashier at Stop Shop and more recently she was employed by MaCom in their stockroom until her retirement.
