Born on July 15, 1938, in Boston’s North End, Chip lived a life defined by hard work, deep love for his family, and an unmistakable spirit that left a lasting impression on everyone he met.Chip began his career with Trans World Airlines at Logan Airport before working a variety of jobs in the trades and eventually discovering his true calling in landscaping. He later worked for the Town of Derry Parks and Recreation Department. Chip found peace in the physical nature of landscaping and took great pride in the beauty and care he brought to his work each day.More than anything, Chip cherished his family. Remick, 83, of Rye, New Hampshire, passed away peacefully in his sleep early Sunday morning, May 10, 2026.Born on September 14, 1942, at Portsmouth Regional Hospital, Jim grew up and lived his entire life in the town of Rye. He was the first-born son of Sherman Austin Remick and Phyllis R. Thompson and grew up with his younger brother, Richard “Ricky” Remick.Jim attended Portsmouth High School before enlisting early in the United States Army, six months before he was set to complete high school. He later earned his GED upon his return, a reflection of his determination and follow-through. He served as a member of the 533rd Transportation Company from 1961 to 1963 and was honorably discharged in July 1966.On September 19, 1964, Jim married his wife, Linette Sandra Meattey.
