CALVIN THOMAS KING JR. Tom age 93 of Medford NJ passed away peacefully on Friday March 27th 2026. Tom or affectionately known as Fred to his family was born and grew up in Wilmington DE. He attended Blair Academy Preparatory School in Blairstown NJ and graduated from Bucknell University in Lewisburg PA with a BA in Economics. After graduating from Bucknell Tom was drafted into the US Army and attended Basic Training at Fort Jackson in South Carolina. He was then stationed at Ft. Carson in Colorado with the 8th division. In September 1956 he was deployed to Ulm Germany under Operation Gyroscope and served as a Morse code operator. While in Germany he played baseball on the 5th Army Regiment baseball team and was always proud to say that during his time on the team they only lost 2 games.
