David William Bill Baird of Burlington City passed away May 10 2026 at his residence at the age of 88. Born and raised in Burlington City Bill remained a lifelong resident. He was a graduate of Burlington City High School where he played flute piccolo and piano in the school band. He attended Rider College and Temple University earning a degree in engineering and electronics technology. While at college Bill was a DJ for the school radio station because of his deep voice an attribute that also served him well as a member of the choral society of St. Marys Episcopal Church in Burlington. He was a lifelong parishioner of St. Marys and served as the director of the choral society for over 50 years. He was also an accomplished chimer for St. Marys ringing the bells for more than 50 years. In fact after the church fire in 1976…

Kathleen Marie LoveTaylor of Burlington City passed away Monday May 4 2026 at her residence at the age of 68. She was born in Philadelphia and was a long time Burlington resident. She was a graduate of Holy Cross High School and the Philadelphia College of the Arts earning a Bachelors Degree in Education. She began her teaching career in early education at the YMCA in Burlington. She then moved to the Red Balloon Child Care in Delran where she continued teaching until her retirement. Kathleen loved teaching and interacting with her students. Kids were drawn to her. She always had the nieces and nephews around her at family parties. She loved to read and was great at sewing. Gilberto Arroyo Sr. of Cape Coral Florida passed away on May 11 2026 at the age of 84. Born in Barranquilla Colombia Gilbert later settled in Burlington New Jersey before retiring to Florida. Gilberto was a hardworking selfmade man. At an early age he spent much of his free time working on aircraft and automotive engines. He began his apprenticeship at just fourteen developing skills that would shape a lifelong career as a talented and respected diesel mechanic. In his early years Gilberto volunteered parttime as a bus driver where he met Manuela Bedoya a schoolteacher who became the love of his life. They were married on October 17 1964 and later immigrated to the United States. They settled in New Jersey in the early 1970s living examples of the American Dream.
