Charles Frederick Collett, May 28, 1943 – May 9, 2026. Charles Frederick Collett, of Cape May Court House, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on May 9, 2026, at the age of 82. Born on May 28, 1943, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Charles was the son of the late Charles and Mildred Collett. He was a proud graduate of Haverford High School, Class of 1961, and went on to earn his degree from Penn State University. Charles honorably served his country in the United States Army, an experience he carried with pride throughout his life.Following his military service, he dedicated many years to public service as an employee of the New Jersey Department of Corrections, from which he retired. Charles was a devoted family man who cherished time spent with his loved ones. Robert “Bob” McKeefery Jr., of Sea Isle City, passed away peacefully at his home on May 13, 2026.Born in Philadelphia, Bob was the beloved son of Elizabeth and Robert McKeefery Sr. He was predeceased by his loving wife, Barbara Fourqurean McKeefery.Bob was the devoted father of Molly Ann McKeefery and Devon McKeefery, and a proud grandfather to Tanner and Xavier Moeller. He was a loving brother to seven sisters and many in-laws, “Uncle Bobby” to 15 nieces and nephews and 23 great-nieces and great-nephews, all of whom brought him tremendous joy throughout his life. He also leaves behind his faithful companion, Roscoe.Bob truly loved Sea Isle City and made it his home after moving there at the age of 18. Mary Jo left behind a legacy of deep faith, exquisite meals, and a family she adored.Mary Jo was the youngest of nine children born to William and Margaret (Masson) Matthews in Maplewood, New Jersey. She graduated from the Benedictine Academy in Elizabeth and attended Seton Hall University before becoming a teacher at St. Paul the Apostle School in Irvington. Despite a stint exploring life as a catholic nun, her lively “Maria Von Trapp spirit” led her to her true love, George Diller Herr Jr. She found her true calling as a magnificent wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, host, and friend.She married George in 1960, and they started their married life in Neptune, NJ.
