James E. Huckel passed away peacefully on Monday October 12 2026 at the age of 76 with his devoted wife by his side. Jim leaves behind a legacy of love shared with his beloved wife Jeanne nee Novack his brother Michael husband of Marie. He will be deeply missed by Lauren Philipp wife of Bob Colleen Connors and Patrick Halligan and six grandchildren who affectionately called him Poppy. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents Jim was preceded in death by many beloved siblings who passed away way too young. Jim was a proud graduate of Northeast Catholic High School class of 1968. His desire to help his community led him to a 35 year career with the Philadelphia Fire Department where he retired as a Lieutenant.
