Armindo Nunes Correia, 82, passed away on Wednesday, July 1, 2026, at his home in Union, NJ, with his loving friends by his side. He was born in Graca, Pedrogao Grande, Rio Maior, Portugal and immigrated to the US in 1969 and resided in Long Island before settling in Union, NJ many years ago.Armindo was a Crane Operator and member of the IUOE Local 14-14B of New York from 1983 until his retirement in 2009.Armindo is predeceased by his parents; dear brother of Edite Nunes Correia and Alice Nunes Correia, both of Portugal; also survived other relatives and many dear friends.The Funeral and Wake for Armindo will be held on Tuesday, July 7, 2026, from 9-10 AM at the Buyus Funeral Home, 426 Lafayette Street, Newark, NJ 07105. Service will be held at 10am. Entombment to follow at Hollywood Memorial Park, Union, NJ.
