She is survived by her daughter Kathy Stuart Carter grandchildren Caitlin Katie and Cameron Alanna and greatgrandchildren Ethan and Mackenzie. She was preceded in death by her husband William I. Odie Wayne Russell was born in Portales New Mexico on March 19 1942 and passed away in Hobbs NM on October 7 2026 at the age of 84. Odie was raised by a farmerrancher that worked for one man but at various farms and ranches in Texas and Oklahoma. He joined the national Guard in Oklahoma at the age of 15 and served two enlistments including one in Carlsbad New Mexico. He started in the concrete business at Rose Gravel in Carlsbad NM and continued with them in Hobbs and then became General Manager of Wallach Concrete where he retired from after 38 years of service. He was also heavily involved in dirt track racing for many years and owned Lea County Speed Bowl for several years.
