Claire de Roos 98 of Johnson City New York passed away Thursday August 14 2026 surrounded by her family. She passed peacefully under the wonderful care of the staff at Cayuga Ridge in Ithaca New York. Claire is survived by her sons Thomas Sharon de Roos Jan de Roos and Robert de Roos grandchildren Felix de Roos and Alexandra de Roos and greatgrandchild Marlow Rose Bain. She is predeceased by her husband Adrian grandchild Christina Bain and her brother Harry Zwart Claire had two careers one as a landscape designer and one as a rug hooking teacher. Her great love was the rug hooking where she was a master of the guild serving for decades as a teacher workshop leader and prolific artist. Her students loved her attention to the craft and to the artistry. Born in Holland Michigan she resided in the Johnson City and Candor New York area…

Joseph Wilmot Kliment 92 passed away August 14 2026 after years of declining health issues. Born November 22 1933 he joined the Navy during the Korean War. He then joined the Sheet Metal Workers Local 112 and became a master craftsman at his job. He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years Elizabeth his children son Joseph D Stephanie daughter Karen son Stephen Jennie and son Andrew Melissa and his grandchildren Andrea Emily Joe M Jacqlynn Daniel Brendan and Logan. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated 1000 am Thursday August 20th at St. Francis of Assisi Church 1031 Chenango Street Binghamton. The family will receive friends from 900 am 950 am. She is survived by her loving husband Mikhail daughter and soninlaw Angelina and Andrey Shipuk and grandchildren Jessica Nikita Maksim and Michael. A Memorial Service will be held at Russian Ukrainian Baptist Church 751 Farm to Market Road in Endwell at 7 pm on Friday August 7 2026. A Funeral Service will be held at the church on Saturday August 8 2026 at 9 am with a burial to follow at Spring Forest Cemetery Binghamton.
