He is survived by his wife Patricia Knapp Casterline children Cherie Casterline and Tami Steno both of Syracuse NY stepchildren LouAnn and Ted Wahl Pam and Rich Cram Nicholas Palmieri all of Horseheads along with several grandchildren and great grandchildren sister Joyce Platt of Elmira brother Bobby Hitchcock. He was predeceased by his parents Malcolm and Viginia Johnston Marsden and is survived by his sister Mary Marsden of Cape Cod MA along with several cousins and close friends. John was a longtime employee of Sears working in their warehouse. He graduated from EFA loved his cat Blackjack the beaches of Cape Cod the Fingerlakes music a good historypolitical discussion a good fireworks display among other things.
