Age 85 of Elmira NY. She was born November 24 1940 in Elmira daughter of the late Leon and Anna Krukow Christastie and passed away Friday July 3 2026. In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her husband John T. Evans Sr. in 2012 siblings Dorothy Reynolds Joseph Christastie and Jean Ann Randall. Mary is survived by her son and daughterinlaw John T. Evans Jr. and Amanda Evans grandchildren Tyler Alexandria Evans Molly Kyle Woods and Camryn Evans great grandchildren Karsyn Evans Parker Evans Sutton Evans Baylor Evans and Amelia Woods brother Robert Christastie along with several nieces and nephews. Mary retired from Hardinge Inc. She was a longtime communicant of the Most Holy Name of Jesus Parish and volunteered with Meals on Wheels and the Arctic League.
