Anthony Joseph McCauley lovingly known as Tony passed away suddenly on May 16 2026 leaving behind a lifetime of memories filled with family friendship humor and a passion for sports. Born in Clydebank Scotland to John and Elizabeth McCauley Tony immigrated to Brooklyn New York with his family at the age of two. He spent the early part of his life in Brooklyn before later moving to upstate New York to be closer to friends and family. Tony graduated from Lincoln High School in Brooklyn and immediately began his career with American Express where he dedicated many years of hard work and commitment. After leaving American Express Tony followed in his fathers footsteps and learned the trade of slate roofing becoming a proud member of Local Union 25. He later finished his career with Smith Roofing where he worked alongside his nephews something that brought him great pride and joy.…

Born in Boston Massachusetts on May 19 1965 he was the son of the late Richard Arthur and Gloria Annabelle LaCrosse. Rick attended schools in Pittsfield and was a graduate of Pittsfield High School. He was employed by Mabeys Moving and Storage until a workrelated injury in 1998 left him permanently disabled. Rick is survived by his beloved wife Sandra LaCrosse of Stuyvesant his children Josh Ackley of Warrensburg NY and Andrea Martel James of Wynantskill NY and also Laurie Knights Barry of Kinderhook Terry Phillips Thiti of Stuyvesant Aaron Phillips of Hudson and his kinship foster son Joshua Murphy of Dallas Texas. He was a proud grandfather affectionately known as "Pa" to Brandon Veakins Kacey and Tika Veakins both of Stuyvesant Caden Martel of Wynantskill and Brent Bailey and Benjamin Ackley of Warrensburg.
