Ruth Kay Burns 86 of Cortland passed away on June 30 2026. She was born on November 25 1939 in Cortland New York. Ruth was a lifelong resident of the area. She was well known locally for selling jewelry through Kays Celtic Collection. She was also employed at Cortland Regional Medical Center and traveled extensively training other medical professionals. She is survived by her son Jon Brenda her grandchildren Justin Megan and Kara Mike and her greatgrandson Michael. Ruth was predeceased by her parentsHalbertand Ruth Snyder Wood her brother Halbert Woody and her husband Ronald Burns. She loved to travel and made many wonderful memories on trips to Disney and other special places. Whether near or far she embraced every adventure with joy and curiosity. always made sure they knew how much they were loved.
