Griswold Funeral HomeGlenville – Rita E. Figler, 98, passed away October 11, 2026 at Glendale Nursing Center, Glenville. Born in Albany, NY on December 23, 1927, she was the daughter of William and Anna (Lanehart) Lansley. Rita graduated from Roessleville High School in 1946 and worked several jobs until a career with the NYS Dept. of Finance, from which she retired. Rita was a communicant member of St. Paul the Apostle Church for 64 years. She was a skilled seamstress, an avid bowler, an active member of the Woodlawn Neighborhood Association and more recently, a Cornhole Champion.Rita is predeceased by her husband, Gene, who passed in 2003. She is also predeceased by her sister, Carol Ann Perkinson, her son, Ronald W. Figler and grandson, Christopher Laird.She is survived by her daughter, Linda Laird (Raymond) and son, Gene L. Ronald Samuel Briggs passed away on Friday, October 9th at Glens Falls Hospital.He was born in Willow Grove, Pennsylvania on August 21, 1936, to Gladys Marsh Briggs and Samuel Briggs formerly of Bradford, England. He grew up in Willow Grove where he graduated from Upper Moreland High School in 1954.In 1959 he graduated from Widener University formerly known as Pennsylvania Military College in Chester, Pennsylvania with a B.S. Degree in Chemistry. Upon graduating from Widener University he had the pleasure of teaching general science, business math and applied physics at Upper Moreland High School.He then served two and a half years in the U.S. Army in Aberdeen Proving Ground, Md. the Home of Army Ordnance and in Ingrandes, France during the Berlin airlift as a First Lt.He worked for Ciba Pharmaceutical Company in 1962 as a Quality Control Chemist and retired in 1996 as Director of Manufacturing at Ciba Consumer…

Donna R. Seyboth, 64, of Delanson, passed away unexpectedly at her home on Friday, October 9, 2026.She was born on May 18, 1962, in Schenectady, a daughter of the late Richard A. and Virginia Andrew Wood. Donna was a graduate of Schalmont High School and a lifelong area resident.Donna held various positions throughout her early employment with Morlock News, Christmas Corner, and International Blends, all in Rotterdam. Later, she worked for Pfizer in Guilderland and finally as a caregiver with Schenectady ARC, a position that gave her immense pride.She was a member of the Mariaville Ladies Auxiliary and found great joy in the simple pleasures of life—camping, swimming in Mariaville Lake, and especially gardening. She spent hours outside tending to the garden and was so proud of her yellow roses and marigolds. She had a special fondness for the color yellow, but nothing brought her greater happiness than her family.…
