Joe Louis Green was born on November 28th 1935 to the late Mr. and Mrs. Manson Green in Person County NC. Joe passed away peacefully at home on March 30th 2026. Joe grew up in Roxboro NC. He attended Person County High School where he excelled in playing baseball and football. Joe was also a talented singer and a member of the local church choir. Joe later married the love of his life Barbara relocated to Nyack NY and started a family welcoming two children Joy and Larue. Joe and his family eventually moved back home to NC settling in Greensboro and growing by one more with the birth of their third child Vaughn. Joe worked tirelessly at UPS from where he eventually retired after 35 years. Joe never lost his love for singing and he was a faithful choir member at United Institutional Baptist Church.
