Janet Carawan Williams age 79 a resident of Washington died Wednesday August 19 2026 at her home. A memorial service will be held on Sunday August 23 2026 at 400 PM at Snowd Branch Church of God Family Life Center with Rev. Kevin Whaley officiating. The family will receive friends following the service. Janet was born on January 11 1947 in Beaufort County to the late Dennis Wendell Carawan and Bessie Clark Carawan. She was a graduate of Chocowinity High School. Janet retired in 1989 after working 17 years at Burroughs Wellcome. She loved reading and gardening spending time with her grandchildren her family and her friends she also loved to travel. Janet attended Snowd Branch Church of God and Alligood Church of God. She was preceded in death by her husband Levie Jerome Hardy her son Levie Jerome Hardy Jr. and her sisterinlaw Geraldine Carawan. Survivors include her daughters…
