Sergeant First Class William C. Wegler died peacefully in his sleep on March 29 2026. He was survived by three siblings Mary Ann Thomas and Rita 13 grandchildren Daniel Johnathan Christopher Harmony Eugene Rose Lillian Jazzlyn Samuel Jacob Isaac John and Abigail and 4 children and their spouses Ann and Peter John and Rebecca Robert William and Hannah Michelle and Frank and any others we dont know about. He was surrounded by loved ones when he passed remembering times they had shared with him. As he passed he took a running pose to escape them sharing his secrets. A Memorial Service will be held at 12 PM on Friday April 24 2026 at the Western Carolina State Veterans Cemetery 962 Old US Hwy 70 Black Mountain NC 28711.
