Georgia Alexander, 88, of Black Mountain passed away Friday, October 9, 2026 with her family by her side. Mrs. Alexander was born May 5, 1938 in Buncombe County to the late Julius and Josie Melton. She retired from Buncombe County Schools after numerous years of service. She always put her family first and they were most important to her. She loved spending time with them. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Roger Alexander; sister, Mitzi Todd and brothers, Will, Julius and Elmer Melton. Georgia is survived by her daughters, Patricia Crook and husband, Mike and Sheila Swann and husband, Mark; son, Bobby Alexander; grandchildren, Alex and Brittany and great-grandchildren, Will, Zoe, Cooper, Sadie, and Ronan. A Graveside Service will be held Tuesday, October 13, 2026 at 11:00am at Mountain View Memorial Park.

With heavy hearts we announce the sudden passing of our mother Beverly Cone Reeser. Beverly passed away peacefully in her sleep on October 4th 2026. She was loved by many and came such a long way during her 74 years on this earth. Beverly will be remembered as a loving mother grandmother and friend who overcame many challenging circumstances and life obstacles. Through it all she maintained a strong connection to her faith her family and her friends. After many years in Atlanta Beverly moved back to her beloved hometown of Macon Georgia where she achieved over 7.5 years of sobriety through her own determination and with the support of loved ones near and far. After establishing a loving and supportive community in Macon Beverly eventually moved to Asheville North Carolina to be close to her three daughters and seven grandchildren.
