Mr. William Billy George Herring age 82 departed this life on Sunday February 15 2026 at Ascension Street Vincents HospitalHospice Unit in Jacksonville Florida surrounded by family. He was born on March 8 1943 in Shelby North Carolina to the late Ben Prince Herring Sr. and Mary Baker Herring. A memorial service celebrating his life will be held on Saturday April 4 2026 at 1130 AM at Shiloh Baptist Church in Shelby. Hearing about Uncle Billys passing brought back memories from long ago of spending summers in New Jersey. Even though life took us in different directions Im thankful for those moments.
