Mr. Calvin Bernard Hamrick 73 of Shelby NC passed away on July 1 2026 at Caro Mont Health Gastonia NC. Attorney Calvin Hamrick was just a good guy. We met in college at UNCChapel Hill and he was later a great help to me when I served in the City Attorneys office. My sincere condolences and prayers are sent to his family now. Evelyn Calvin was a faithful christian a great guy and always a loyal and respected friend. Calvin Vickie Brooks Cumberlander and I integrated the 7th Grade at Shelby Junior High School in 1964. later Calvin and I traveled with our 7th grade class for a 7 days tour of Washington DC New York and the Worlds Fair.
