Rickey was born on March 5 1958 in Columbus OH to the late Kenneth L. Knight and Sokiko N. Knight. Rickey graduated from Pine Forest High School in 1976. He then went on to manage and mentor many in the retail business. He worked at Rite Aid Big Star and Food Lion. Rickey worked at Food Lion for 28 years until medical retirement in 2009. Rickey then started his own landscaping business. It will continue under the management of his wife and nephew Dallas Knight. Rickey is survived by his wife of 28 years Stephanie E. Knight daughters Shyann A. Knight and Hadley F. Knight mother Sokiko N. Knight brother David L. William Lynn Thigpen born on August 18 1963 in Ft. Bragg NC passed away 03272026. He is survived by his loving siblings Sarah Lee Thigpen and Joseph Wesley Thigpen. William was proceeded in death by Joseph William Thigpen father Julia May Thigpen mother and Thomas Mark Thigpen brother. He also leaves behind his beloved dog Phoebe.
