Donnie Herbert Whitley Sr. 83 of Nash County North Carolina passed away on October 9 2026 leaving behind a legacy of faith family and hard work. He was the son of the late Herbert and Dollie Whitley of Nash County NC. Donnie faithfully attended East Wake Church of God where his love for the Lord was an important part of his life. His faith devotion to his family and strong work ethic were defining parts of the man he was. A graduate of Middlesex High School Donnie went on to work in the textile industry for 35 years. After retirement he continued to stay busy with various jobs including his last position working alongside family at Villager Apartments for approximately 16 years.
