He was born in Richmond, VA, on July 31, 1930, the oldest child of James Kenneth Solari and Frances Meagher Solari.His elementary education was at St. Paul's Parochial School, and he is an alumnus of Benedictine High School '48. He began his college career at Belmont Abbey Junior College, subsequently entering the novitiate at Belmont Abbey, professing first vows in 1950. He completed his B.A. at St. Benedict's College, Atchison KS. He was ordained a priest on June 29, 1955, in Assisi, Italy. His life was dedicated to Catholic education and to pastoral ministry as a priest.
