Mr. Willard Michael “Mike” Patrick. 65, of Erwin passed away Sunday evening October 11, 2026, at his home.Mike was born September 6, 1961, in North Wilkesboro, North Carolina son of the late Willard Odell Patrick and Zella Gay Wingler Patrick. He was also preceded in death by his brother, William Lee Patrick.Mike was a truck driver for Knight Transportation.A private service will be held at a later date.He is survived by his daughter, Chloe Nicole Patrick of Erwin; sisters, Gail Patrick Marsh of Corpus Christi, Texas and Mary Sue (Stephan) Fannin of North Wilkesboro, North Carolina; nieces, Mary Patrick Drake of Corpus Christi, Texas, Emily Caroline Brisco of Austin, Texas, Elizabeth Jane (Rolando) Ayala of Round Rock, Texas and Stephanie Gail Fannin of North Wilkesboro, North Carolina; nephew, Shane Paul Fannin of North Wilkesboro, North Carolina.Arrangements are made by Skinner & Smith Funeral Home in Dunn.

Caron Lee Edmunds Hobson, 66, of Stedman, died peacefully, with her family by her side while listening to Frank Sinatra, on October 10, 2026. Frank was the love of her life, next to her children and perhaps Donald, her husband of 21 years.Caron was born in Roanoke, Virginia, on May 10, 1960, to Becky and Bill Edmunds. She graduated from Cave Spring High School and Virginia Tech University. Caron was a Daddy’s Girl. Bill was a high school football coach, and Caron grew up to be as tough as any offensive lineman he ever coached. She was the most professional, most dedicated, most appreciated, and most feared grade school teacher in history.
