Mary Lou met George Miller at her 18th birthday party in Hartsville SC where George and some of his Air Force buddies happened to drop by. Mary Lou wrote in her journal that when she met George it was love at first sight. They were married just two months later before George was deployed overseas. That "chance" meeting turned into a lifelong commitment. Together Mary Lou and George shared 54 years of marriage. Their life together took them around the world as they traveled with Georges military service. Along the way they raised three sons Tim Toby and Tom. Mary Lou loved her family and especially treasured her two grandsons Aaron and Ethan. In 1980 Mary Lou and George made a decision that changed their lives.
