David Wayne Norris, 77, of Sanford, was called home to the Lord on Sunday, June 28, 2026.Born in Woodsfield, OH, November 19, 1948, he was the son of the late Herman and Wilda Grant Norris. David graduated from Canton South High School, class of 1969. He went on to serve in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. After his honorable discharge, David returned to Ohio, marrying his high school sweetheart, Susan Tolley. The couple, and their babies, packed up and settled in Sanford where he continued his career as a machinist working for Parker Hannifin.David was a man that could not sit still. He enjoyed working around the house and tending to his yard. Jeffrey David Barlow, 38, passed away unexpectedly from heart failure on April 10, 2026 in Taipei, Taiwan. Born January 22, 1988, in Sanford, North Carolina, Jeffrey was the son of Patty Barlow and the late Norman "Butch" Barlow. He attended Lee County Senior High School, graduated from North Carolina State University, and made his second home in Taiwan, where he worked as an educator and chief magazine editor.Jeffrey was known for his extraordinary intellect, humility, quiet sense of humor, and remarkable creativity. A lifelong learner, he enjoyed reading classic literature, music, writing, and exploring science. Although he authored hundreds of magazine articles, he devoted his greatest creative energy to books, screenplays, and stories that remained unpublished. Jeffrey is survived by his wife, Sherry Weng Lin; his mother, Patty Barlow; and his brother, Kevin Silas Barlow. Ms. Derema Williams age 73 of Sanford North Carolina transitioned to eternal rest on Tuesday June 30 2026 at Kindred Hospital Greensboro. Ms. Derema Lamar Williams known as Dee was born October 30 1952 to the late Waddy Ervin and Charlotte Reives Williams. On Tuesday June 30 2026 she departed this life at Kindred Hospital Greensboro North Carolina. Derema graduated from W.B. Wicker School in 1969. While attending W.B. Wicker School she was a thriving student and a majorette in the W.B. Wicker marching band. She worked multiple jobs ending her journey at Stanadyne Inc. currently known as Moen Inc. Derema was a faithful member of Saint Mark United Church of God where she once served on the usher board. Throughout her lifetime Derema enjoyed singing and sung with multiple church choirs.
