Constance Rebecca Hicks age 81 of Wilmington North Carolina passed away peacefully on February 9 2026 surrounded by the love of her family. Born on June 17 1944 in Clinton New Jersey to Josephine and Jacob Mitchell Constance was orphaned as an infant and lovingly adopted by Ruth and Amos Goodell. Constance lived a life of devotion creativity and resourcefulness. She made clothes for her family crafted heartfelt gifts and poured love into every stitch of her sewing knitting and crocheting. Her creations became treasured pieces of family history reminders of her talent warmth and the joy she found in giving. Musically inclined Constance played piano organ and xylophone and sang lead soprano in her church choir. Her voice lifted hymns that touched hearts and strengthened her community. Annis Weir

Annis Glendon Weir April 17 1921February 11 2026 Born in Trenton NJ Annis called Wilmington home since 1978. She was preceded in death by her husband of sixty six years Earle Philip Weir and their son Matthew Earle Weir. Annis is survived by her daughter Nancy Weir Bozarth and soninlaw Stanley Bozarth of Wilmington. Adopted grandchildren and great grandchildren nieces nephews and friends are among many who will miss her joyful presence in their lives. A Celebration of Life will be held at a future date. The family would like to thank Dr. Leo Warshauer for the many years of care he provided Annis.
