ROBERT LESLIE STROMBECK SR. age 81 of Timberlake NC passed away peacefully Saturday morning July 4 2026 at the Hock Family Pavilion. Mr. Strombeck was born February 6 1945 in St. Joseph County IN son of the late Paul Francis Marie Elizabeth Gehl Strombeck and was husband of 26 years to Georgia Ann Dabbs Strombeck who survives. He was retired from Duke University Hospital was a member of Antioch Baptist Church and was a veteran of the US Navy. Robert enjoyed bowling spending time with his family friends going to church and was an avid Duke Notre Dame fan. Surviving in addition to his wife are seven children Robert Robby Strombeck Jr. wife Karen Frances Harward husband Mark Hazel Oakley Kenny Strombeck wife Jacinda Tammy Weaver husband Steve Tim Weaver B.P. SALLIE BET HAZELWOOD POWELL age 96 of Wake Forest NC and formerly of Roxboro NC passed away Thursday afternoon July 2 2026 at the Hock Family Pavilion. Mrs. Powell was born January 22 1930 in Halifax County VA daughter of the late John Anderson Hazelwood Dora Mae Hazelwood and was wife of 52 years to the late Calvin Coolidge Powell. She was a homemaker and was a member of East Roxboro Church of God. Surviving are four children Ronald G. Powell Gary D. Powell wife Rene all of Roxboro NC Vickie P.
