EDDIE ALLEN DANIEL age 81 of Oxford NC passed away peacefully with his family be his side Sunday night August 16 2026 at his home. Mr. Daniel was born June 12 1945 in Durham County NC son of the late Austin Allen Florence Evangeline Pickett Daniel and was husband of 51 years to Deborah Turner Daniel who survives. He was retired from the US Navy after 27 years where he served in Vietnam retired from IBM after 30 years and was a member of Bethany Baptist Church. Eddie enjoyed fishing hunting golf gardening handyman work with his grandson riding his John Deere tractor bird hunting raising and training bird dogs and helping others. He was also a certified scuba diver which came about because of a dare. Surviving in addition to his wife are a daughter Shelly Daniel Piper three grandchildren Aaron G. MARY LEE OAKLEY CURRIN age 91 of 1169 Mt. Harmony Church Road Timberlake NC passed away peacefully Thursday morning August 13 2026 at her home. Mrs. Currin was born August 23 1934 in Person County NC daughter of the late Lewis June Mary Christine Welch Oakley and was wife of 32 years to the late Bobby Franklin Currin. She was formerly employed with Crown Crafts and was a member of Timberlake Baptist Church. Mary Lee enjoyed tending her flowers sewing quilting crocheting baby blankets but was happiest while spending time with her greatgrandchildren. Surviving are a daughter Tammi C.
