Patricia "Pat" Anne McMillan Parrish 76 passed recently in Fayetteville North Carolina. She was a graduate of E.E. Smith High School in 1967 and also of Fayetteville State University where she obtained a bachelors and masters degree. "Pat" as she was known devoted more than 30 years to primary education in Wayne Harnett and Cumberland counties. She was an active and devoted member of First Baptist Church Moore Street in Fayetteville and also Delta Sigma Theta Sorority E.E. Smith Alumni Assn. and numerous other organizations. Pat was deeply involved in her faith and community and she was a descendant of the McMillan Family of St. Pauls N.C. Funeral services were held June 4 2026 at First Baptist Church Moore Street Fayetteville N.C. Interment was in the Northside Cemetery.

Dr. Prezell Robinson 105 years old passed away on Monday June 29 2026. He was the esteemed president of St. Augustine University in Raleigh N.C. for nearly three decades. Dr. Robinson was a member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity which he entered July 15 1946. Dr. Robinson will lie in state Friday July 10 2026 2 p.m. 4p.m. at St. Augustine University Chapel. Omega Psi Phi Memorial Service will be held Friday July 10th at 730 p.m. at St. Ambrose Episcopal Church in Raleigh N.C. Celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday July 11th at 11 a.m. at St. Ambrose Episcopal Church. Interment will be in Montlawn Memorial Park in Raleigh N.C. The alumni of Southeastern North Carolina are encouraged to remember the life and legacy of Dr. Robinson.
