Mr. Sherwood Allen Fryar age 86 of Clinton North Carolina passed away peacefully to be with his Heavenly Father surrounded by his loving family. Sherwood was a lifelong farmer who found great joy in working the land and caring for those he loved. A man of humility integrity and strong work ethic he lived a life grounded in faith dedication and devotion to family. He enjoyed all sports especially baseball and football spending time outdoors and took great pride in his farming equipment especially his beloved John Deere tractors. Some of his happiest moments were spent riding through the country with his wife enjoying the beauty of the fields and the simple blessings of life together. Above all Sherwood was a devoted husband loving father proud grandfather and faithful friend. Pattie Rose Rackley passed away peacefully on May 12 2026. She was born September 14 1933 and lived a life centered around family faith and the people she loved most. Pattie worked for 40 years as the bookkeeper at Sampson Tire Company where she was known for her dedication and hard work. She was also a faithful member of Rowan Baptist Church where she sang in the choir and taught GAs for many years. She was also very dedicated to her Sunday School class the Katie Johnson Sunday School class. She loved roses blooming in her yard her sweet tea and visiting with anyone who wanted to sit a spell and talk. Her warmth and kindness made her someone people naturally gravitated toward. Lois was born January 13 1944 in Sampson County and was the daughter of the late Lloyd Lee Jones and Mettie Brewington Jones. She was a Vista Volunteer with the North Carolina Commission of Indian Affairs for several years a CNA for 3HC Hospice and a member of New Bethel Baptist Church where she served as the church custodian for 11 years.
