Ramona was born in Erwin NC on June 4th 1928 where she resided her entire life. She served as Town Clerk of Erwin for 27 years. She was a lifelong member of Erwin Methodist Church where she so enjoyed singing in the choir. Ramona was preceded in death by her beloved husband Luther and her brother Larry OQuinn. She is survived by her son Mickey and daughter Frances both of Erwin. We are blessed with extended family Kim Allen and Jessica Vilanova. Visitation will be held on Tuesday July 7th at 300 p.m. with funeral service following at 400 p.m. at the Erwin Methodist Church. A private burial will be held at Erwin Memorial Cemetery. In lieu of flowers please donate to St. Judes or the charity of your choice in Ramonas honor.

Deborah Debbie Lynn Zakalata 56 of Clinton passed away on Sunday June 28 2026 at home with her loving family friends and pets by her side. Debbie born March 9 1970 in Dearborn Michigan was the daughter of Richard Zakalata and Patricia Wells. Debbie had meningitis as an infant that left her with a learning challenge. She received specialized instruction through public education in Michigan. As one influential person in Debbies life shared God always had Debbie in the palm of His hand. She had led a full life of working and living on her own with the loving oversite of her mother and then her sister Denice. Debbie was welcomed with open arms from her church family when she moved to Clinton in 2019. She was active member at Plain View PFWB Church. Samuel Glenn Parrish age 83 of Benson NC passed away peacefully on July 2 2026 surrounded by his family. Born on October 13 1942 in Johnston County Glenn was the son of Joseph Parrish and Pearl Johnson Parrish. He spent his life working hard and serving his family and friends when they needed a helping hand. Glenn worked many jobs throughout his life. He was a salesman for ADP Dealer Services just as the computer age came upon our world. Most folks know him as the owner of Glenns Quick Mart at McGees Crossroads. He also had a successful wrecker business and a business selling old vehicle parts and other rarities. He enjoyed cutting and baling hay for many throughout the community.
