Mrs. Catherine Davis Bass 71 of 100 Westbrook Road passed away Sunday October 11 2026at her home. A memorial service will be held Friday October 16 2026 at 200 PM at RoyalHall Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Charles Ray Jernigan officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home. Born on October 8th 1955 in South Carolina Catherine was the daughter of the late Gerald and Nellie Pleasant Davis and the widow of the late Allen Bass. In addition to her parents and late husband Allen Catherine was preceded in death by her brothers Jerry Davis and Ricky Davis and sister Diana Turlington.

Dee Dee Blackburn

Mrs. Dee Dee Joe Carroll Blackburn 61 of 1153 New Hope Church Rd. passed away at Sampson Regional Medical Center Saturday October 10 2026. Born on March 16 1965 in Sampson County Dee Dee was the daughter of Henry Gordon Carroll and the late Dolly Rae Knowles Carroll. She was a homemaker and spent most of her days with her grandson. Dee Dee was her daughters hero and her husbands best friend. She was loved by everyone and will be missed. Surviving in addition to her father Henry Gordon Carroll her husband Billy David Blackburn daughter Brittany Mae Blackburn of the home and grandson Phoenix Timothy Ward. Phyllis Jones

Phyllis Aurelle White Jones Mammaw to her grandchildren greatgrands and many others went to her heavenly home Sunday morning October 11 2026 surrounded by her family. She was born in Dalton Georgia to Ben Newton White Jr. and Henrietta Webb White on August 29 1942. She grew up in Dalton and Rome Georgia and was the oldest of six children. She maintained their relationships by traveling together every summer family reunions at the beach each year and catching up in their weekly Zoom meetings. Spending much time with her grandparents gave her the opportunity to laugh and play with many cousins she adored. She moved to Newton Grove her senior year in high school. She soon met and married the love of her life Bernie Jones who preceded her in death in 2024. Phyllis was a loving and supportive wife through Bernies military service during their early marriage. Graveside service will be held at 11 AM Thursday October 15th at the Peters Family Cemetery in Dunn NC. Elizabeth was born March 14 1944 in Sampson County. She was the daughter of the late Roscoe A. Bass and Mamie Bass. She was an apartment complex manager. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Billy Brown and her grandchildren Bobby Faircloth and Kimberly Dawn Glasgow. Survivors include her son Junior Faircloth of Clinton daughter Teresa Tidwell of Dunn sister Rosie Pearl Carter and one grandchild. Graveside service will be held at 11 AM Thursday October 15th at the Peters Family Cemetery in Dunn NC.
