Born on June 2, 1965, Melissa was the beloved child of Coy and Mildred Dodd.Throughout life, she was known for her unwavering love for her boys and husband Dennis.Melissa enjoyed fishing and her dog Lavender. Above all, she cherished spending time with family and creating lasting memories with loved ones.She is survived by husband Dennis, sons Corey and Joseph, brother Jerry Dodd (Nancy), Maurice (uncle), brothers-in law Ricky Patterson (Caroline), Andrew Patterson, sister-in-law Faye Lindsay (Odell), a special niece Sabrina and nephews William Jr and Jeremy.She was preceded in death by brother William, four sisters Mary (Tony), Ann (Sam), Carol and Olene (James), nephew Elijah (EJ), sister-in-law Mary and several aunts.A celebration of life will be held on July 6, 2026 at 1:30pm at Spencer Funeral Home in Mt.
