Carmen Lange 91 shuffled off this mortal coil on Monday August 17 2026 with her family by her side at the Brighton Gardens Assisted Living Facility in Durham North Carolina. Carmen was born on August 14 1935 in a log cabin on the outskirts of Cowen West Virginia to Eythel and James Clevenger. While it was a humble upbringing Carmen never let those lean times prevent her from excelling in academics. She graduated from Cowen High School where she was the valedictorian. She moved with her sister to Dayton Ohio where she met her future husband Dennis P. Lange of St. Henry. They married in 1957 and settled in St. Marys Ohio where the family expanded with the births of their six children. After Denniss untimely death in 1974 Carmen shouldered the responsibility of raising those children with strength dignity and tenacity which allowed those children to flourish. Her love…

Janice Lillian Frye 89 entered the gates of Heaven on August 19 2026 surrounded by the love of her family. Though our hearts are broken by her passing there is comfort in knowing that just two months after saying goodbye to her husband Bob Janice has been reunited with him. Janice was born on August 3 1937 in Knoxville Tennessee to Richard Franklin Redmon and Pearl Lucille Bryant Redmon who preceded her in death. On August 6 1974 Janice married Robert Bob Frye. Together they spent their younger years enjoying life at the Spring Lake Club in Dayton before eventually making their home in Lima. After moving to Lima Janice joined a bowling league where she formed wonderful friendships that would remain a cherished part of her life for many years to come.
