Ethel May Tinlin age 89 a former Carrollton Ohio resident died Tuesday evening March 31 2026 in the UC Hospital in West Chester Ohio. She was born August 25 1936 in South Hampton Long Island New York and was the daughter of the late Charles Jr. and Marion Hart Smith Johns. Her husband the late Harold L. Tinlin Sr. whom she married June 19 1955 in the Presbyterian Church in East Hampton New York while he was serving in the U.S. Air Force passed away on August 24 2004. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by a son Bruce Tinlin a brother Charles Christopher Johns and a soninlaw Scott Ross. Ethel was primarily a homemaker throughout her life who was comfortable in her surroundings at home. There she engaged in various arts and crafts.
