Marilyn was born February 23 1938 in Elyria Ohio a daughter of the late Dwight LeRoy Smith and the late Virginia Mildred Jewell Baldwin. Marilyn worked as a housekeeper and was Methodist by faith. She loved spending time with her family especially the vacations to the beach and family game night. Marilyn also loved to read. Her husband Plain Albert Bert Walter Sr whom she married May 7 1955 preceded her in death December 12 1991. She was also preceded in death by her daughter Karen S. Lisbon Jean Barnes 95 passed away peacefully on Tuesday March 24 2026 at Reward Senior Care of Lisbon. Mrs. Barnes was born April 22 1930 in Salem a daughter of the late Rollin and Sylvia McGarvey Scott. Following graduation from high school Jean worked as a rural postal carrier for the United States Postal service for 26 years. She was also an Avon salesperson for many years. Jean was a faithful member of the Lisbon Church of the Nazarene. Jean loved to travel and she and her husband Rusty were able to visit all 50 states. Her husband Paul Rusty Barnes whom she married July 7 1953 preceded her in death on January 3 2023. He was born March 9 1952 in Salem Ohio the son of the late Robert P. and Ruth Eleanor Nold Kelm and was a 1970 graduate of Lisbon David Anderson High School. Warren continued his education at The Ohio State University where he was a proud member of the marching band and earned a bachelors degree in mechanical engineering. He went on to own and operate several businesses in the coal mining and land reclamation industries. Known for his sharp intellect and innovative thinking Warren held multiple patents related to coal mining. Warren had a deep appreciation for history and music. A 1959 graduate of Minerva High School she was a loving wife and mother who created a loving home for her husband and her children. She loved being near or on the water whether it be Lake Erie Guilford Lake or the Ohio River Norma loved the water. She enjoyed boating cruising or just going fishing.
