Laelle Adamic (née Katzenberg), 88, longtime resident of Wickliffe, passed away peacefully on March 30, 2026, at The Enclave of Newell Creek, listening to David Bowie and surrounded by her family. She was born on May 22, 1937, in Cleveland to Edward and Florence Katzenberg.Laelle was the heart of her family - always worrying about her babies. She was a devoted wife to her beloved husband, Alfred Adamic, who preceded her in death, along with her brother Lee, stepdaughter Joann Modic, and longtime friend Andy Anderson.She is cherished by her children: Al Jr. (Suzanne), Dale (Ann Marie), Gene (Leah), Cindy (Jim), Tiffany (Scott), and Alan (Andrea); her grandchildren Brittany, Ariane, Rachael, Nicholas, Evan, Brooke, Marissa, Cameron, Madelyn, Anna, Tyler, Warner, and Samantha; and seven great‑grandchildren. Bettie J. Dye age 78 passed away March 31 2026 at David Simpson Hospice House in Cleveland. She was born November 17 1947 in Whitmer West Virginia to Dorsie White and Annette Weiford White. She absolutely loved nothing but spending time with all her grandkids. She enjoyed her trips to the family cabin in Tionesta Pennsylvania and traveling back home to West Virginia. Stephen Futterer, born in Croatia, passed away at 95 on March 30, 2026 while gardening at the home he built for his surviving and loving wife of 76 years Erna (nee Oswald) and himself. Our deepest thanks to the neighbor jogging by who saw Steve, administered CPR, and called for help. Thanks also to the officers from the Lake County. Sheriff’s Dept., who treated Erna with such kindness.Stephen and Erna met and married in a Displaced Persons camp in Austria after WWII and had their son, Stephen (Rose Ann) there. In Austria, he worked as a lumberjack, in construction, and for the British Army. After many years in the camp, their family was sponsored by St. Peter’s Church in Cleveland and were able to emigrate through Ellis Island with $4.00 to their name. They settled in Cleveland and became US citizens. They welcomed their second son Edward (Jane) in the…
