Frances E. Beriswill 84 of Grafton Ohio passed away peacefully at the family home farm on Friday May 15 2026 where she had lived for 62 years. Born on July 9 1941 in Wadsworth Ohio Frances was the daughter of the late Glenn and Eileen Ries Brophy. She was raised in Litchfield Ohio and graduated from Buckeye High School. After marrying Robert Beriswill the couple made their home in Grafton in 1964. In her younger years Frances enjoyed roller skating and dancing where she and Robert first met. Frances devoted much of her life to her family and community. She was deeply involved in her childrens activities and spent 14 years as a 4H club advisor with the Lorain County Fair. She also served as a Lorain County Girl Scouts leader and was active with the Midview Band Boosters. A faithful member of St. Martin of Tours Frances generously volunteered…

With heavy hearts we announce the passing of Alma Pearl Bigam who departed peacefully at her home on May 12 2026 after an extended illness. Born on October 20 1939 in the quaint town of Orma West Virginia. Alma graced the world for 86 years with her quiet dignity humble grace and an indomitable spirit that inspired all who knew her. Alma was the eighth child of the late Ellsworth and Myrtle McCune. She graduated from Springfield High School in 1957 and pursued her passion for care and healing at the Akron City Hospital School of Nursing from which she graduated in 1960. She dedicated over thirty years of her life as a Registered Nurse at Akron City Hospital providing compassionate care to countless patients until her retirement in 1999.
