James Dale Carpenter Dale age 73 of Calais Ohio passed away on Friday May 15 2026 at Marietta Memorial Hospital Marietta Ohio. He was born on July 18 1952 in Barnesville Ohio a son of the late Irvin and Cledith Leach Carpenter of Calais Ohio. Dale was a 1970 graduate of Shenandoah High School He was hardworking and a proud member of IUOE Local 18 employed as an Operation Engineer for many years at TriState retiring after thirty plus years from Shelly Sands. Following his retirements he was a driver for the local Amish community. He enjoyed Sudoku and playing cards and was an avid sports fan. The Ohio State Buckeyes and the Cincinnati Reds were among his favorites. He enjoyed deer season hunting with his friends and family. Jonathan M. Kinney 33 of Sarahsville Ohio formerly of Woodsfield Ohio passed away Saturday May 16 2026 at his home. He was born at Anderson South Carolina on August 4 1992 a son of Jay Kinney who survives of Woodsfield Ohio. He was a heavy equipment operator and a former member of the IUOE Local 18. Jonathan was also a member of the Graysville Church of Christ Graysville Ohio. Jonathan enjoyed hunting spending time with family and friends and riding his side by side.
