was born on August 31 1946 to Frances C. Hill and Leroy Pugh in Homer Louisiana. He was raised with love and devotion by his mother and stepfather Cornelius Hill. Richard departed this life on August 11 2026. He graduated from GibslandColeman High School in 1964 with 12 years of perfect attendance. He was a member of the band in high school and that passion for music would follow him into his collegiate years and beyond. A dedicated classmate and friend Richard loved keeping up with his classmates over the phone and visited them often. Richard continued his education at Grambling State University where he had the honor of playing the trumpet in the legendary first Super Bowl halftime show 1967 in Los Angeles California.
