Galen K. Wade age 67 of Clyde OH passed away Friday August 14 2026 at his home. Galen was born March 16 1959 in Bellevue OH the son of the late Commodore and Norma Ensign Wade. Galen was a hardworking man who spent many years working for Erie Blacktop Elmer Borchardt Inc. and Castalia Trenching. Outside of work he was an avid hunter and had a lifelong love of sprint car racing especially in Sandusky while also enjoying trips to the dirt tracks. He also had a passion for gardening and growing fruit which eventually grew into his own business Wade Orchards. There Galen raised and sold apples peaches and sweet corn. Whether he was hunting watching the races or tending to his orchard Galen enjoyed staying busy and doing the things he loved. Thomas Hasselbach

Thomas A. Hasselbach 71 of Clyde passed away Monday August 17 2026 at the Stein Hospice Care Center in Sandusky. He was born February 16 1955 in Fremont the son of Thomas A. and Doris Knappenberg Hasselbach. For 30 years Tom worked for the City of Clyde at the Waste Water Treatment Plant. He was a devoted sports fan passionately following Cleveland baseball and the Pittsburgh Steelers. He loved competing trivia games and puzzles weather watching and had a famous sweet tooth especially for Oreos. During his retirement he enjoyed planning camping and covered bridge trips with his wife which helped satisfy his love of maps. Above all else Toms world revolved around his family and his cherished role as a dad and papa. Tom married his wife Celeste Foisy on November 16 1979 at Clyde St. Mary Church.
