Dennis Allen "Denny" Shreffler 68 of Canal Fulton passed away peacefully Friday morning August 7 2026 following a period of declining health. Born in Massillon on April 26 1958 a son to the late Richard and Marjean Haas Shreffler Denny graduated from Tuslaw High school with the Class of 1976 and received his undergraduate degree in electrical engineering from the University of Akron. He spent most of his professional career with the Timken Company Steel Division now Metallus at the Faircrest plant where he developed several integrated computer software programs throughout the operation. In his leisure time Denny enjoyed camping and baseball including watching a game in each of the MLB venues. He also found special pleasure in music. Age 67 died Thursday August 8 2026 following an extended illness. A life resident of Canton he attended Timken High School and retired from the Timken Steel Company. He was a member of the Golden Lodge and enjoyed fishing gardening video games and music. He is survived by his wife Gail Carpenter daughters Tiffany Nick Fowler Carpenter Steffany Carpenter all of Canton brother Jim Carpenter of Miami FL sister Ruth Carpenter of Canton 3 grandchildren and 1 greatgrandchild. He was preceded in death by his daughter Roxanne Carpenter brother Earl Butch Carpenter and sister Cindy Beaver. Funeral services will be on Wednesday at 1000 am in the Wackerly Funeral Home with Rev Jeffrey Witherspoon officiating. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery. She enjoyed taking long walks along the northeast coastline a playing the guitar knitting and crocheting for her family. Age 79 died Sunday August 2 2026 following an extended illness. Moving to North Canton in 2021 from Watertown NY she was the daughter of the late Hugh Ruth VanDorston Grable. She was a graduate of Potsdam University in Potsdam NY and retired as an elementary school teacher from Our Lady of Sacred Heart Grade School in Watertown NY after 32 years of service. She was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church in North Canton and a former member of Our Lady of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Watertown NY. Ann is survived by her daughter Ann Marie Brian Wallace of Jacksonville NC brothers James Chrisse Grable of Amherst NY Dr. Stephen Grable of Jacksonville Beach FL sister Mary Don Tordik of Orlando FL and two granddaughters.
