JoAnn Bufford 82 of Youngstown OH departed this life Wednesday March 25 2026 at 1021 a.m. at her residence following complications from an extended illness. She was born September 11 1943 in Youngstown OH the daughter of Hiawatha Kita and Edythe Helen Geneva Floyd Bufford. She was a 1962 graduate of Struthers High School and attended Youngstown State University. She was employed with Youngstown State University for 39 years as an Administrative Assistant before retiring Dec. 12 2011. She was a member of the St. Andrewes AME Church where she served as a Missionary and belonged to the Executive Board of Youngstown State University ACE Classified Union NABPW and the Fidelis Club. She enjoyed driving Bingo going to casinos reading Bowling spending time with her grandchildren and was an avid football and basketball fan. Sylvia W. Patrick age 91 of Hubbard passed away surrounded by her family at home on Friday March 27 2026. Sylvia was a member of Grace Lutheran Church member of Youngstown Symphony Guild and The Herb Society of Youngstown. She will be fondly remembered and sadly missed by her family her sons Robert E. Mary Patrick of Boardman William F. Fawn Patrick Jr. of Concord Ohio Barry N. Patrick of New Bury Ohio Benson J. Billie Patrick of Hubbard 10 grandchildren and 4 greatgrandchildren. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband William andbrother Lanny Nelson. Merlyn Jane Richards 83 of Cortland passed away Sunday March 15 2026 at St. Joseph Health Center. She was a homemaker most of her life only working as a kitchen aide at Meadowbrook Manor for a while. Merlyn attended Burghill Baptist Church. She was also preceded in death by her daughter April Zedaker and three brothers Lyle Richard and Dale Fell. Graveside services will be held on Tuesday March 31 2026 at the Westview Cemetery Vernon Township at 11 a.m. with Rev. MaryAnn Rufener officiating.

WARREN Christina Mae Thompson 47 passed away peacefully Sunday March 29 2026 at University Hospital surrounded by her loving family. Christina was born June 25 1978 in Warren the daughter of Paul and Sally Beskid Stano Sr. She was a proud graduate of Warren G. Harding High School. She began her career as an STNA at Windsor House where she dedicated many years of service. Prior to her illness Christina was employed as a receptionist at King Collision. Christina had a love for decorating for every holiday with Halloween being her favorite. She enjoyed shopping at garage sales playing bingo visiting casinos and spending time creating diamond art. Above all she cherished the time she spent with her family especially her grandchildren whom she adored.
