Niles Brian L. Penick 68 of Niles Ohio passed away on August 14 2026 surrounded by the love of his family. Brian was born on October 9 1957 to William "Bill" and Inez Penick. He earned his degree in mechanical engineering from Youngstown State University and went on to build a life defined by hard work service and above all devotion to his family. Brian had a true passion for firefighting and proudly dedicated many years of his life to the fire service. He served with the McKinley Heights Volunteer Fire Dept. where he rose to the rank of lieutenant and also served with the Blue Ridge Mountain Fire Co. Besides being well known for her feisty personality she was an avid gardener and phenomenal cook and was The Queen of hot peppers in oil. Mom was a huge animal lover of anything with fur or feathers.
