Valeta E. Grindell Durban 90 of Marysville passed away Tuesday afternoon March 31 2026 at The Gables of Marysville after months of failing health. Valeta was born February 1 1936 in Richwood to the late Leo Grindell and Jennie Norris Grindell. Upon graduation from Richwood High School she spent a year working for Scotts before marrying. Upon returning to Marysville in the 1970s she worked at the Union County Extension Office and then DPL as their secretary. In later years she enjoyed working as the Activities Director at Windsor Senior Center and with the residents at Carriage Court. When her girls were young she was very active with their activities from 4H to band boosters and choir boosters.
